BRUNO SPADONI

Chairman

Bruno Spadoni graduated with honours in Geology in 1979 and is an expert in the fields of oil exploration, environment and relative quality, renewable energy, hydrogeology and geophysics. In over thirty years in the profession he has faced almost every issue concerning oil exploration and protection and enhancement of the environment. In the upstream oil sector he has held positions as senior geophysicist, seismic field supervisor and seismic operation manager whereas in the environmental field he has been a team leader for screening, scoping and studies of the environmental impact related to permits for hydrocarbon exploration, drilling and retrieval of wells, sea installations, waste disposal plants, planning of environment recovery, fulfilment of legal requisites, environmental auditing and planning and supervision of relinquished wells. In 2007 Bruno joined Gem Petroleum S.r.l. as an advisor Head of Geophysics and became a member of the Board of Directors and Technical Manager in October 2010.

MAURIZIO GALDIERI

Vice Chairman - CEO

Maurizio Galdieri graduated in Geology at “La Sapienza” University in Rome in 1984. Maurizio Joined TOTAL MINERARIA (Rome), a subsidiary of TOTAL C.F.P., in 1985 where he was a subsurface geologist performing research on liquid and gas hydrocarbons research until 1991. Between 1992 and 1994 he joined PEAL (Rome) as a consultant for environmental impact studies in Application for Licence areas and developed software known as MDB WELLS for the management of geological well data. He Joined ENTEPRISE Oil, a subsidiary of ENTERPRISE OIL plc. in Rome, in 1996 as an operations geologist in operated and not operated wells (in on-shore and off-shore areas) in the main Italian oil permit in the VAL D’AGRI. Between 2001-2007 Maurizio became a Well Site Geologist Consultant for Petroleum Companies such as VEBA Oil Libya, EDISON International Branch Iran, TOTAL Libya, TOTAL Yemen, TOTAL Gabon, EDISON Italy, PENTEX Italia Limited Italy, INTERGAS PIU’ Italy, ASCENT RESOURCES England, IRMINIO Italy, MEDOILGAS ITALIA Italy and NORTHSUN ITALIA Italy. During this period he gained expertise mainly in carbonates reservoir (oil and gas), clastic and basement reservoir even in deviated and horizontal drain wells. In 2007 he was appointed CEO for Italian and overseas activities and Vice Chairman of GEM Petroleum S.r.l..

ANDREA MOSCARIELLO

Chief Technical Advisor

Andrea holds an MSc in Geology and a PhD from the University of Geneva, (Switzerland). After a Post Doctorate at the US Geological Survey in Denver, Andrea joined Shell International E&P in 1997. From 2002 until 2005 Andrea was subsurface business consultant for projects in NW Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, China, South America and the Gulf of Mexico. Since 2004, Andrea worked in the Shell technical centre for integrated reservoir modelling. In October 2007 he joined SGS Horizon E&P consultancy firm as a Reservoir Geology Manager where he worked for exploration and development projects worldwide. In 2008 Andrea was appointed MD of the SGS Horizon office in Aberdeen and later Business Development and Technical Director of the main office in The Hague. Since July 2010 Andrea founded Earth Resources B.V. providing geological subsurface consultancy for the energy industry. Since 2000, Andrea has been active in the Academia first as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, UK and later, since October 2006, as Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands), teaching Production Geology and reservoir modelling. Andrea is an active member of several professional and academic organisations (AAPG, EAGE, IAS) serving on research committees, associate editor board and grants selection committees. Andrea has authored and co-authored more than 90 scientific articles and technical reports. Since July 2010 Andrea is associated with GEM Petroleum S.r.l. as Senior Advisor on geosciences technical matters and business opportunities.
